Personal Carer for Disabled Child

The position involves providing full-time care for a 9-year-old child with severe learning disabilities, complex needs, and non-verbal communication in the Twickenham area. The responsibilities include:

• Providing a safe and nurturing environment.
• Assisting with daily routines such as dressing, bathing, and nappy changes.
• Engaging in play therapy and other activities.
• Supporting mobility, including lifting up to 25kg.
• Peg feeding experience is desired but not required (training can be provided).
• Performing household chores, including cleaning and ironing.
• Managing potential challenging behavior with patience.
• Occasionally watching two other children aged 6 and 8 years old.
• Completing required training (paid for by the employer).
• Passing a DBS check (paid for by the employer).

The working hours are flexible, with a total of 20-30 hours per week. The schedule should include weekdays (3pm to 8pm) and at least one day on the weekend (9am to 8pm). The employer will pay for the necessary training and the DBS check.
