Live-in Domestic Couple

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and flexible Live-in Domestic Couple to work in a beautiful part-time, formal residence in Mayfair, London. The family spends a few months at the residence during the Spring/Summer months, and the Domestic Couple will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the household.

Key Responsibilities for the Housekeeper/Cook role:

• Maintaining the residence to a high standard through cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and polishing.
• Caring for furniture, antiques, silverware, and glassware.
• Making up bedrooms and bathrooms.
• Laundry and bed linen care.
• Cooking fresh homemade Mediterranean dishes.
• Wardrobe maintenance and garment care.
• Assisting with the hiring and management of temporary staff.
• Managing inventories, stock checking, and liaising with property management.

Key Responsibilities for the House/Maintenance/Cook role:

• Driving and chauffeuring.
• Valeting vehicles.
• Minor DIY repairs and maintenance.
• Running errands.
• Assisting with cooking and kitchen duties.

When the principals are in residence, the Domestic Couple will also be responsible for formal front-of-house service, including table setting, greeting guests, butler service, serving meals, assisting with luggage, and other duties as required.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience working within a high-net-worth household.
• Knowledge of security protocols.
• Discretion and sensitivity to cultural awareness.
• Flexibility, proactivity, and a "can-do" attitude.
• Strong housekeeping and laundry skills.
• Good front-of-house experience.
• Clean driving license.
• No pets or children.

Working Hours:

• Normally, 8-hour working days with 2 days off per week.
• Longer working hours/days when the principals are in residence.

Accommodation: The Domestic Couple will have their own staff quarters, consisting of a bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. They will be the only staff living at the residence.

Salary: The salary for this role is in the range of £70,000 to £75,000+ Gross.
