Live-out Laundress / Laundry Person Central London

We are currently recruiting for a professional laundress/laundry person for a large private household in Central London for an immediate start. 

The main priorities of this role will be laundry, wardrobe management and assisting with packing and unpacking before and after travel. Some additional housekeeping duties may also be required. 

Duties to include:

- Washing (also handwashing), steaming and ironing clothing and bed linen

- Organising all household laundry, folding and storing in assigned places

- Minor alterations/repairs

- Keeping a detailed inventory of all items sent out for dry-cleaning

- Wardrobe management for each family member

- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in all areas

- General cleaning, including vacuuming, polishing, mopping floors, stairwells and corridors

This is a live-out position, working five days per week on a roster basis, with some weekends and flexibility expected. Additionally, the candidate must be able to travel with the family if required for up to six weeks per year (expenses paid).

Uniform and meals will be provided when on duty.

To be considered for this role you must have:

- Eligibility to work within the UK

- A very good standard of written and spoken English

- 3+ years of experience working as a laundress within a private household, yacht/cruise ship and/or 5* hotel as the level of laundry expected is of an extremely high standard

- Housekeeping experience desired

- Excellent contactable references

- Possessor be willing to get a DBS check.
