Job Opening: Full-Time Medical Secretary

Location: St Johns Wood, London

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full-time Medical Secretary to join the office of one of London’s leading Consultant Cardiologists and a part-time Sexual Health Physician based in St Johns Wood. This is a busy private practice, and we are seeking a resourceful, motivated individual with excellent organizational skills and high-level IT proficiency. The ideal candidate will be a natural problem-solver and possess impeccable client-focused skills.

Responsibilities:

Clinic Preparation:

Booking appointments, preparing clinic files, and ensuring all test results are present.
Maintaining filing systems for the practice and handling case note confidentiality and office security.
Document Control:

Liaising with the typing service responsible for digital audio files.
Downloading, printing, mailing, and photocopying as required.
Booking Operations:

Coordinating with other professionals to receive and send patients.
Facilitating patients’ cardiology workup and booking outpatient tests and investigations.
Diary Management:

Coordinating travel, meetings, clinical commitments, personal commitments, and leave arrangements.
Office Management:

Ensuring the smooth running of the office using appointment systems and equipment.
Ordering and maintaining office equipment and stationery stocks.
General Support:

Assisting the lead practitioner to ensure workload completion.
Requirements:

Self-motivated, organized, and disciplined.
Professional with the ability to be assertive when required.
Excellent verbal and written communicator with high proficiency in English.
Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
Friendly, amicable, and self-motivated.
Qualifications:

Essential: A levels including 2 grades C and above.
CRB check.
Work Visa UK.
Desirable:

AMSPAR.
Graduate education.
Skills:

Essential: Good level of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to learn new software packages as required.
Desirable:

Use of specialist software including PIMs, Midex Pro, Impax, Agfar, and Xero.
Digital audio-typing to a good speed.
Start Date: Immediate
