Coffee Shop Manager

We are a family-owned business based in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. We would describe our business as an artisan Coffee Shop that specialise in serving high-quality food and drink and who love great coffee! We currently operate from a single location and solely as a Coffee Shop but have aspirations to open in the evening and have recently obtained a drinks license for the premises in preparation for this. We also have future plans to open additional shops when the time is right. We have been closed since Nov due to the pandemic and shop renovations and are now ready to reopen and relaunch!

About The Opportunity

We are looking for a Cafe Manager to join the team.

The successful candidate will be involved in the relaunch of the business and defining its strategic direction... The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the day to day running of the shop, supervise, motivate and inspire the team while helping to develop the business and work closely with the owner. As the owner is not involved in the shop on a day to day basis the successful candidate must be able to work independently without daily supervision.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

Improve Brand integrity, awareness and visibility in the community

Making improvements to the running and continually look for ways to build the business

Responsible for staff management including recruitment, rostering, training and development

Lead, motivate and inspire the team with your knowledge, passion, and energy

Be hand’s on both FOH and in the Kitchen as required

The successful candidate will have:

A passion for quality food, drinks and service

Previous experience in the same or similar role

Strong leadership skills, team player and tech-savvy

Creative, highly organised and excellent communication skills

Great customer service skills.
