Care Worker / Support Worker

We are a well-established company, based in Tilehurst but supporting clients across the whole of Reading. We help them to continue to live safe and fulfilling lives in their own homes by supporting and encouraging them in whatever activities they enjoy. Our CAREGivers are fantastic individuals who take immense pride from making this happen. 

Being a good companion to our elderly clients is at the heart of what we do. We are therefore looking for people who enjoy spending time (generally at least an hour every visit) with our clients and who will feel satisfied and rewarded, knowing the difference they are making.

Our CAREGivers tend to work part-time with us and work in blocks or hours, generally either in the morning, the middle of the day and/or the evenings.

We provide care and support 365 days per year, therefore an element of weekend availability will be required (every other rather than every weekend).

Our clients live across the whole of Reading. Your visit schedules will generally be close to where you live, however, having access to a vehicle will be important. Many of our clients enjoy a drive out in the car or have appointments & shopping trips. We expect our CAREGivers to support these activities.

What is in your heart is far more important than what is on your cv. We employ people from a wide variety of backgrounds and across all age groups. Our team of CAREGivers is as diverse as our clients. Many of our CAREGivers have not previously worked professionally in care. Many though have spent time supporting people in their own home environment so have an understanding of the challenges and rewards of such a role.
