Clean Your Fridge Regularly

In order to make sure your fridge is running more effectively, you want to clean it regularly. De-frost it whenever it is needed and an option, wipe down the door gaskets, vacuum the condenser coil whenever you spot some dirt and food particles accumulating.

Prevent Ice Buildup

Ice buildup is a common reason for fridges being able to work with their full potential. In order to prevent that, make sure you are de-frosting your fridge regularly. An efficient way to remove the ice buildup and prevent ice from building up again, simply to spray a thin layer of cooking spray.

Re-magnetize Refrigerator Doors

In case you spot the magnets of the door of your fridge getting weaker, just run a powerful magnet along with the gasket and you will be able to re-magnetize them again. For best results, run it in the same direction around fifty times.

Empty the Ice Bin

One of the worst things that can happen to your freezer is the bad smell and the most common reason for the bad smell is the big chunk forming from the ice sitting around in your freezer for a long time. Therefore, you want to remove it at least once a month.

Fill Your Freezer In

In order to ensure your freezer is working most effectively, simply make sure to fill it in with cold things. Therefore, make sure to be regular with your weekly or monthly food shopping and don’t miss a chance to stock on your favourite foods.

Clean Your Microwave Thoroughly

The easiest way to clean your microwave from inside efficiently and make sure you are getting rid of all the grime is by pouring some white vinegar in a cup and microwave it for around three minutes. This will loosen the grime and stains and then all you need to do is wipe with a damp cloth.

You also don’t want to forget about the maintenance of smaller kitchen appliances, one of them is the coffee machine. Just run a fifty-fifty mix of white vinegar and water through your coffee machine. This will clean it and also remove mineral buildup, helping it to work more efficiently and prolonging its life. Before making your next coffee, make sure to run a couple of cycles with clean water to rinse it out.

If you want all your stainless steel appliances to look shiny and like brand new, all you need to do is polish them with a product that is designed for stainless steel only.

Clean the Dishwasher

You can use white vinegar for also cleaning your dishwasher. You just need to put a cup of white vinegar on the top shelf and run a normal cycle. This will remove all the accumulated grime and stubborn stains and residue.
