Team Leader for Ground Maintenance

Job Opportunity: Experienced Team Leader in Ground Maintenance

Clean and Tidy is actively recruiting for the position of an experienced Team Leader in Ground Maintenance to manage a team of up to 3 operatives. We provide in-house training, but we expect candidates to possess or aim to acquire the following qualifications:

Requirements:

• Sprayers Ticket
• First Aid Certification
• Valid Driving Licence
• UK PIA (Professional Indemnity Insurance)
• Basic Knowledge of On-Site Machinery Repair

Responsibilities:

• Lead and guide a team using effective show-and-tell methods
• Delegate tasks to operatives based on their skill levels and provide training as needed
• Conduct pre-work risk assessments at job sites
• Perform checks on completed work to ensure adherence to company standards
• Maintain daily documentation and compliance with environmental regulations
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of vans and depot
• Adhere to company policies and standards
• Learn and utilize client-based software
• Report to our Broxburn depot daily at 7 am to set up your team and equipment
• Be open to working overtime when necessary
• Willingness to learn new skills through both in-house and external training
• Possession of a driving licence is advantageous

Duties Include:

• Performing and supervising various tasks at locations throughout the central belt, including:
  • Mowing using pedestrian mowers and push mowers
  • Edging beds
  • Hedge work
  • Litter picking, and similar tasks

Working Hours:

• Full and part-time hours available
• Monday to Friday
• Shifts between 7:30 am and 5:00 pm

Compensation:

• Wage starts at the national living wage
• Wage increases based on qualifications and experience
