Sunday Carer / Personal Assistant Needed in West London - £10 Per Hour

I’m looking for a caring, patient and reliable carer/PA. I’m a woman in her early 40s, a wheelchair user and I work full-time. I’m paralysed from the neck down so I need assistance with most tasks and I employ a team of carers/PAs to enable me to live independently. The job involves washing, dressing, helping me with toileting, cooking, feeding, general housework, shopping, accompanying me in taxis and typing emails, among other things. There is moving and handling involved so you need to be physically robust. I have two PAs with me during the day who do an ‘hour-on, hour-on call’ system so you will have time during your shifts to do things for yourself such as have a rest, make phone calls, watch TV or study.

Hours: Sundays 8 am to 10.30 pm.

The exact finishing time will vary depending on what I do in the evening. The earliest finish time is 10.30 pm but there may be times when it is later than this. If you finish after 10.30 pm you will be paid overtime. If you finish after 10.40 pm, I’m happy to pay for you to have a cab home if you need it.

From time to time, you may have the opportunity to undertake extra shifts to cover other carers’ annual leave.

Start date: As soon as possible.

Pay: £10 per hour gross. I will look after your tax and National Insurance.

Annual leave: You will be entitled to 4 shifts paid holiday per year. There may also be other days when you are not needed but you will still be paid.
