Senior Social Worker/BIA Assessor Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and skilled Practitioner to join our dedicated Safeguarding and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Team.

In this role, you will take the lead in ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance for DoLS and Best Interests Assessments (BIAs). Your responsibilities will encompass safeguarding leadership, offering guidance and support to social workers. Your comprehensive understanding of adult safeguarding and the legalities surrounding DoLS will be crucial.

We are seeking a qualified social worker with a background as a trained Best Interest Assessor; having undergone signatory training is also a desirable advantage.

Your background should reflect proficiency in managing teams, combined with an in-depth and wide-ranging knowledge of pertinent legislation, statutory functions, and national directives concerning adults, with a specific focus on safeguarding and mental capacity.

Your experience should extend to managing intricate safeguarding arrangements, along with a track record of operating in a multidisciplinary and multi-agency capacity.

You will have a strong grasp of the statutory obligations outlined in the Care Act 2014, particularly in relation to Safeguarding and DoLS.

Your resume should also highlight your interaction with the Safeguarding Adult Board and partner organizations.
