Description

Duties and Responsibilities of the Receptionist:

Operational Knowledge: Possess a comprehensive understanding of the hotel/hostel, including its layout, services, personnel structure, and general operations.

Local Knowledge: Acquire a good working knowledge of the Company's other hostels, local information, and special services available to guests.

Promotion: Actively promote the hotel/hostel's services and facilities to guests and visitors.

Check-In and Check-Out: Ensure smooth and efficient check-in and check-out procedures, providing excellent customer service at all times.

Professional Demeanor: Maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor consistently.

Cleanliness: Be responsible for the cleanliness of the Front Hall and related areas.

Problem Resolution: Address and resolve issues, difficulties, complaints, accidents, equipment malfunctions, and other concerns effectively.

Security: Contribute to the general security of the hotel/hostel, including preventing unauthorized access and identifying any suspicious individuals.

Maintenance: Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of public lavatories as per the required standards.

Guest Interaction: Interact with guests promptly, courteously, and attentively, going the extra mile to ensure guest satisfaction.

Service Knowledge: Demonstrate a working knowledge of all hotel/hostel services, facilities, and the local area to assist guests effectively.

Telephone Operation: Professionally and competently operate the telephone system, maintaining a professional appearance and manner to all visitors.

Sales: Effectively promote and sell bedrooms, maximizing occupancy, average rates, and yield.

Payment Handling: Handle guest payments accurately and securely.

Training: Undergo comprehensive training provided by the site manager.
