Housekeeper Position in Cheltenham: Family Description and Location

Family:
A warm and informal British family with 4 children, primarily in their teens and 20s, is seeking an experienced and friendly Housekeeper for their Cotswold Manor house located just outside Cheltenham. The family includes a permanent resident, an almost 18-year-old boy with special needs, and three small labradoodles. The spacious 8,500 sq. ft. house has 7 bedrooms and has been tastefully renovated to contemporary standards. The family employs a gardener to handle the outdoor areas.

Job Description:
As the Housekeeper, your main responsibility will be maintaining the house to a high standard and efficiently running the household. Key duties include:

General housekeeping tasks to ensure the house is well-presented.
Laundry duties, including washing, ironing, folding, and sorting.
Some wardrobe management, packing, and unpacking.
Petcare responsibilities, including feeding the labradoodles.
Occasional food preparation for the resident son (snacks or reheating meals).
Running errands and household shopping.
Driving, including school runs.
Receiving deliveries and coordinating with contractors and tradesmen.
Deep cleaning during family travels and as needed.
Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

Experienced housekeeper living within a 30-minute drive of Cheltenham.
Friendly personality and ability to thrive in a busy household.
Good checkable references.
Flexibility for proxy parenting and overnight stays during the family's travel.
Days of Work, Accommodation, and Salary:

Working hours: 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday (40-hour week).
Salary: £40,000-£45,000 negotiable, dependent on skills and flexibility.
Start date: January 2024 (Interview, trial, and offer expected before Christmas).
