Support and Training Coordinator

Hours: Mon - Fri (40 hours per week) (On-call requirements).

Salary: £22,232.

Duration: Permanent.

Are you a proactive and confident Support Worker who is passionate about empowering the homeless to address the root cause of their problems and in turn find a long-term solution to overcome them? If so, a national homeless organisation is recruiting for a Support and Training Coordinator to work in a unique community homeless project in Gloucester.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a self-funded charity that supports people who have experienced homelessness by providing them with a home, a sense of belonging and meaningful work in a community social enterprise setting. This is an exciting opportunity for you to make a real difference to the lives of the residents.

As the successful post holder, you will have direct responsibility for the house management of the shared living accommodation. You will provide personal and professional development training for the residents in preparation to maintain independent living.

You will also be given the opportunity to organise and deliver various activities, both in the project and out in the community, which will encourage social interaction, promote tenant engagement and empower clients to develop life & personal skills. Furthermore, you will be responsible for ensuring the property and clients remain safe and secure at all times.

Essential Requirements:

Catering and budget management experience and the ability to work with, and develop, a diverse range of people.Candidates who hold the confidence to take on and resolve difficult and frequently sensitive issues. Who is empathetic and understanding of a wide range of needs and experiences with a commitment to environmental sustainability and social development working closely with a passionate and experienced Manager, you will be instrumental to the services continued development and growth?
