Senior Windows and VMware Engineer required by my Leading Investment Banking client in London.
The following skills/experience is required:
Strong Windows and VMware professional.Strong technical skills in the following: Windows Server and file serversWindows-networking including TCP/IP, name resolution, firewalls and MS Exchange and supporting email infrastructure active DirectoryVM ware ESXCisco UCSEMC/Pure StorageActive DirectoryVM ware ESX / VSphereGreat communication skills
The team is responsible for managing and maintaining all Windows-Servers, VM ware infrastructure, and central storage in the organisation. The role is split between projects and support.
Approximately 50% of the time is taken up by support and administration, dealing with incidents and service request. The remainder of the time is taken up by ad-hoc project work centred around applications or operating systems running on Microsoft-Windows, VM-ware or EMC storage.
You'll actively contribute to the design/architecture for the environment focusing on simplification, streamlining management and automation.
Salary: Up to GBP80,000 + bonus + package.
