Description

Our receptionists are the face of our business so we require someone to deliver a friendly, helpful and efficient experience for our customers.

You must have a passion for providing great customer service, and enjoy working in a fast paced environment and have the ability to remain calm under pressure.

The nature of an all year round position in a seasonal business will mean that we will need you to be able to work in both busy and quiet environments. You will need to be organised and forward thinking, as well as having a friendly disposition and the ability to communicate clearly.

Key responsibilities:

You must deliver an excellent level of customer service
You will need to be able to communicate with our customers via telephone, email or face to face in a friendly and efficient manner, creating a relaxed atmosphere.
You need to maintain a high standard of appearance, both personal and in the environment in the area you are working in.
You must maintain a general product knowledge of the company and the surrounding area.
You must pass relevant information to fellow staff member to enable both smooth transitions of shift handovers and to enable other departments to stay up to date as to what need doing.
You will need to be able to take bookings and process them correctly via telephone, in person or online.
You will be required to process payments and log them correctly within the online system and within our account processing system.
The ability to multitask when busy will enable the reception area to maintain a high level of service.
There is a lot of information that needs to be available to the customer throughout their holiday experience starting from their initial enquiry to their return journey home and you will need to provide this for them in a friendly, efficient and cohesive manner.

About you:

1 year experience in a customer service role, preferably in tourism, but not essential
Great time management
A passion for hospitality and the local area
Ability to self-direct your workload
Have excellent communication written and numeracy skills
Ability to build a rapport with our guests

£10.50 per hour starting pay rate
28 days holiday per year

Schedule:

5 days a week as a basic with extra shifts available, with some flexibility sometimes required..
Must be able to work weekends through the season
Winter hours Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

Must be able to reliably commute to Watergate Bay throughout the summertime, or must plan to relocate before starting
