Personal Chef on An Ongoing Basis

Please read on if you are an experienced chef who may be retired but still actively looking to keep your hand in your profession!

My mum has suffered with head and neck cancer which has left her with no saliva and difficulty swallowing. Her diet is high in fat and she eats the same things daily. She is wanting to experiment with new food ideas however can become frustrated with the lack of choice.

To give you an idea of what she is comfortable eating this includes- porridge, toast with lots of butter or jam, mash, soft veg such as carrot and swede, sprots, broccoli, souffles, she can eat the soggy batter of fish from a chip shop, soup, cakes. She has recently made her own potato cakes that she enjoys and it is things like this that i know a professional chef will be able to come up with new ideas and recipes that will make eating more enjoyable for her.

I am looking for a casual professional chef who will be able to help with new food ideas and cook in house on an on-going basis should the relationship work. She will be fantastic to work with, she is out-going despite her medical illness.

Someone with experience is essential, with patience and understanding of her situation as well as the creative flair to introduce new foods that my mum will be capable of eating.

Happy to discuss further how this would work - whether it be on a plate to plate monetary value or hourly rate. Of course, we will cover the cost of ingredients.
