Description

Title: Female Paediatric Nurse Team Leader and Deputy Team Leader. 

Location: West Hampstead, NW6. 

Nearest Train Station: West Hampstead. 

Wage: £45,000.00 – £50,000.00 gross per annum. 

Driver required? Essential. 

Essential: Managing clinical teams, Diploma in Nursing RGN/ RCN, paediatric experience, current PIN. 

Start Date: ASAP. 

Days & Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday – Sunday mixture of daily and waking night shifts. 

About this client/child: 

Anna (3) is an adorable little girl who likes being cuddled and enjoys a lot of stimulation. Anna sustained brain damage at birth and requires 24/7 care. She has Cerebral Palsy, epilepsy, profound visual and hearing impairments and gastroesophageal reflux disorder. Anna is fed permanently via a Percutaneous Gastrostomy tube (PEG) and has a specific feeding regime. She suffers from projectile vomiting and requires constant monitoring and supervision of her airway.

Overview of the role:

We are looking for a Nurse Team Leader and Deputy Team Leader (2 posts) who will provide both hands-on care as well as leading the small team of nurses. You will be responsible for all aspects of Anna’s needs, providing personal care, implementing therapy in her daily routine, monitoring her health as well as supporting and supervising her care team. Your role will be to draw up rotas, update care plans and ensure that the team are providing the highest standard of care and support to Anna.

Who this job would suit:

This role will suit a focused and driven registered nurse with experience leading a team of nurses or support workers and experience working with paediatrics. You will have a friendly, but also professional approach and understand the aspects and demands of working within a private family setting. Drivers with a full clean license and non-smokers are essential.
