Job Advertisement: Personal Care Assistant (PCA)

Are you passionate about helping others and enjoy a variety of activities? We are currently seeking a Personal Care Assistant to join our team. If you have an interest in talking, reading, socializing, learning new skills, and engaging in various hobbies, this could be the ideal role for you.

Hours of Work:
Flexibility is key, but the basic required hours are:

Monday: 9 am to 8 pm at £14 per hour (£143 per shift)
Bank staff is also needed.
Pay and Holiday:

£14 per hour on weekdays and weekends
£126.24 per sleeping night shift
5.6 weeks paid holiday per year (pro rata)
Tasks:
As a Personal Care Assistant, your tasks may include:

Personal care (training provided)
Intimate care needs
Washing & dressing
Catheter care
Stoma care
Hoisting in & out of bed
Showering
PEG feeding & medication
Managing Diabetes
Domestic duties
Housework, including laundry
Leisure activities
Accompanying on walks
Library visits
Assisting with shopping
Helping to meet friends
Attending appointments
Enabling care for a guide dog
Assisting with work-related tasks
Note: This description is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be required.

Personal Specification:
Essential Criteria:

Comfortable with dogs
Reliable and trustworthy
Flexible approach to work
Clean current driving license and recent driving experience
Desirable Criteria:

Experience caring for disabled individuals
Manual handling experience
Experience is not essential as all necessary training will be provided.
