Consultant Adult Psychiatrist

Position: Locum Consultant Adult Psychiatrist - Virtual Assessments

Requirements:

• GMC Licence to Practice
• Right to work in the UK
• AC status, Section 12 approval, and Member or Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists

We are seeking a dedicated Locum Consultant Adult Psychiatrist to provide virtual assessments on a long-term, ad hoc basis, supporting our NHS client. The chosen candidate will serve as a Second Opinion Approved Doctor (SOAD). In this capacity, the SOAD will evaluate whether proposed treatment is medically necessary, clinically defensible, and respectful of patient rights. This role entails independent decision-making to ensure the appropriateness of recommended treatments.

Please note: Initial training will require a single on-site visit.
