Big Data Engineer *Remote Interview WFH*. Are you a data-centric technologist seeking complex and interesting systems to apply and enhance your skills, continually learning and working with a range of modern data tools and technologies?

You could be joining a global FinTech in a senior role. As a Big Data Engineer, you'll be key to the design and development of the flagship data analytics platform which consumes hundreds of millions of data points every day and provides clients with real-time insight into trading activity to inform market insights, build algorithmic trading strategies and predict price movements. You'll be empowered to take ownership and make technology choices, discussing ideas and collaborating with peers.

You'll be based in the City with a collaborative software house environment, modern open plan offices with free breakfast, drinks and snacks and quiet break out areas.

Driven by technology this company is able to conduct a remote interview/onboarding process and work from home during the current social distancing measures with flexibility moving forward.

Requirements:

You're a tech-savvy Data Engineer with experience of one of the following stacks: Hadoop, Spark, Presto OR AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse or Google BigQuery You're able to script to a high level of code with at least one of the following: Scala, Java, Python or .NET You have experience of tuning queries and profiling performance issues in database systems You're collaborative; keen to learn and share knowledge/ideas As a Big Data Engineer you will earn a competitive salary (to GBP80k) plus bonus and benefits.
