Do you have a passion for hospitality and the skills to lead a dynamic bar team? York Golf Club is seeking a Bar Manager to be part of our esteemed golfing community.
Position: Bar Manager
Location: York, YO32 5XF
Job Type: Full time (40 hours per week), permanent
Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 per annum
Pension: Matching available to 5%
Other Benefits: Share of gratuities
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the bar team.
- Ensure exceptional service and a seamless bar and food experience.
- Manage staff schedules and uphold dress standards.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and service.
- Implement and maintain bar operating procedures.
- Plan and execute special events and promotions.
- Foster relationships with suppliers for profitable pricing and member choice.
- Recruit, train, and motivate bar staff.
- Balance till and cash transactions daily.
- Maintain equipment and report issues promptly.
The Ideal Candidate:
We're looking for an individual with:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the licensing trade.
- Exceptional interpersonal and management skills.
- A flexible approach to working hours.
- A food hygiene certificate or willingness to obtain one.
