The Boathouse Guest House Bed & Breakfast

The Boat House Guesthouse is a large white detached house on the main street in the centre of Boat of Garten near Aviemore. We are a family-run guesthouse near Aviemore and within the Cairngorms National Park. We provide warm, cosy and comfortable family/triple/double/single rooms, which include a full Scottish breakfast. Guests can also be accommodated in our on-site chalet/static caravan, providing up to 6 guests with self-catering accommodation. 

We are an ideal base for your stay in the Cairngorms and Aviemore area and are situated in the centre of the peaceful village of Boat of Garten (the Osprey Village). We are a short walk from the local golf course, a few minutes from some beautiful forest walks and five minutes from the famous steam railway. 

We are a five-minute drive to the Osprey Centre, ten minutes from Aviemore and fifteen minutes from Grantown on Spey. There is plenty to see within a short distance of us, including castles, lochs, wildlife parks, whiskey distillers and the popular Reindeer Centre. 

For those who are more hands-on, there are plenty of activities in and around the area, including skiing, walking, climbing, bird watching, golfing, fishing shooting, watersports - canoeing, rafting etc - dog sledging and an adventure park - the list goes on!
