CompEX Electrical Field Service Technician.

Field-based.

GBP35,000 Per annum.

My client, a family-run distributor within the MOD and Defence Services, are looking to recruit a CompEX Electrical Field Service Technician to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is full-time working Monday - Friday approx. 45 hours per week between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm. As a field service technician, you will be managing the day to day communication and activities of the customer base, attend site and complete CompEX electrical inspections, PPM tasks and remedial work. Scheduling and deployment of a CompEX Electrician by shelf and Service Manager. Planning, quoting and completing all required reports, certificates required for the task carried out.

As this position is field-based you will be working from home covering clients based in the South East (below the M4 corridor) and heading into the South West area.

Roles and responsibilities:

To provide first point of contact for all customers who require service, technical support, risk assessments and method statements preparation/proposal of possible new opportunities for further workUpdate at least on a weekly basis the schedule for themselves and technicians assigned to them, including over time approval, holidays, sickness time and send to the Service Manager, on a weekly basisEnsure ALL relevant paperwork is returned to the office, including work sheets and reports within a timely mannerTo provide purchasing of all necessary PPE, tools and equipment required to undertake any given contract or project and manage this to work within the contract budgetTo provide regular feedback of information within their customer base including all potential business opportunities to the Sales team or Service ManagerUndergo audits and site inspections as required by Service Manager or General Manager to improve standards at all timesLiaise with Service Manager on sub-contractor selection and approval, timescales and parts costsManage the health and safety issues related to themselves and those required by their clients, Service Technician(s), sub-contractors and liaise with health and safety, and HR consultant as requiredTo ensure strict confidentiality is observed, when dealing with client and staffing informationWilling to undertake any other work in any other areas or activities of the business as requiredPerson Specification

Due to the technicalities of these roles, it is essential that you hold one or more of the following qualifications:

C&G th EditionC&G 2377 Management of Electrical Equipment or equivalentC&G 2377.02 Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment or equivalentC&G 2391 Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations or equivalent complex 01 - 04 Electrical Inspection of Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas - Required - However Optional if run out of date and require completing again and hold CompEX 07-08CompEx 07 - 08 Electrical inspections and Maintenance of filling Stations - Required - Optional if hold CompEX 01-04Clean Driving Licence - Essential3-5 years' experience in an engineering environment, experience with hazardous areas3 years' experience in electrical testing, inspections & repairs in hazardous areas skills particularly Microsoft Office applications return you will receive a competitive salary, company van with fuel card and company phone and laptop.
