Hi, We're sadly selling our much loved Mazda Bongo. My husband has MS and is now finding it too difficult to climb into the passenger seat let alone go camping, so sadly it has to go. It's a great runner with smooth gears (it's a manual 2 wheel drive - better diesel efficiency for long distances). We drove the van to Spain and back last year! The van has some rust signs due to age in the usual areas, but it is still a handsome van. We got a Fiamma Side Awning put onto the van which is brilliant for when it's raining and you're off camping somewhere in the wilderness - it lets you sit outside and stay dry. The internal seats are the original day van layout (2 seats at the back that can fold against the walls, and the middle bench seat can flip into a table, or slide forwards and backwards to allow plenty of room. These seats all fold down to form the double bed. There are two foot rests that convert into little seats too! We always planned to convert it into a full side camper, however after using it in it's current set-up we realised that it suited us extremely well this way. We used the electric pop-up roof (shelf area) to store things, and the downstairs area makes a super large double bed and you have extra storage under the seats this way too. The seats and pop-up roof are all in good condition - pretty clean, no rips/tears. The van has electric windows, and manual pull down shutters for the cabin section windows. We added curtains for the tailgate window, and we have some blackout panels for the front windows too. This gives you total privacy when camping. The sunroof has a slide cover for it, but it's quite nice to wake up with the light coming in! The stereo system is a Ripspeed DVD and music player with a separate video screen. We always used the laptop to watch a film when tucked up in bed, so the video screen is untested, the music player works brilliantly. The MOT is up in January, 2016. There were no advisory notes on the last one and I don't anticipate any problems. Thanks for looking, Caroline Ward.
