Description Bookmark

We've owned this wonderful van for around 4 years. It was previously owned by my Grandad. I purchased it when he passed away to keep it in the family and to use for weekends away with my partner and child. Now it is time for it to go to a new home as we have bought a caravan and 'child' no longer comes away with us. MOT until August 2015. I expect this to pass fine as it has done with all previous MOT's. I have kept all service history since I've owned it. It's been very well maintained. Bodywork looked after by Bidwell and Son's (Rackheath). Mechanically looked after by Tim Mann, Little Melton Service Station. Hard - sided pop top. Has 3x boards for the roof section (which can be moved and removed) allowing 2 people to sleep up top. Downstairs converts into two single beds (but I'm missing two bits of wood / foam which cover the front seat rails to complete the full length of the beds - these could easily be made but we never required them). Tow - bar with dual electrics (we've towed our new caravan from the Midlands with this!). Fridge works off battery (will switch on after 1hour of driving), mains and gas. Only 52,152 miles on the clock. 1.7L Unleaded engine which is very quiet and has always started first time. 2x gas hobs and grill. Table which folds away and is stored next to the spare wheel. Passenger seat swivels around. Rear front facing seat has a seatbelt. Water pump (foot operated) for fresh water to sink. Space for a Portaloo to slide in under the rear bench seat (Portaloo not supplied!). Spare wheel carried in the back of the van behind the sink. Mains / electric hookup (standard site cable supplied along with a 13amp / home converter too). Interior plug socket works off mains only. Plenty of storage. Awning rail over side door. MUCH cheaper to buy, run and maintain than a VW and laid out far better too! My insurance costs were only £300 per year. Uses Campingaz bottles (2x) under rear front - facing seat (Supplied!). Minor faults: Cigarette lighter not working. Heater controls not properly connected (will show you how to change the heat setting under the bonnet - and what is required to fix this). Missing a cap for the fresh water inlet (Norwich Camping and Leisure can supply). Stereo: CD player part not working and aerial needs replacing. The head unit is an aftermarket CD / MP3 / USB / Bluetooth and so all the conversion cables are there for you to swap in a new headunit if you desire. Tap for sink needs replacing (can purchase them at Norwich Camping & Leisure or many stores online). Some patches of light rust - wheel arches, above windscreen. One larger rusted section on rear bumper. Some dings to bodywork and a few knocks and scrapes inside. The veneer on the rear of the wardrobe has faded and cracked due to the sun. Mechanical faults: Engine smells slightly of petrol. Brakes are sticking slightly as we haven't used it much in the last year, except to bring back our new caravan. Price is a steal at £3000 and it's ready to be driven away by it's new owner!
