Weekday Live-In Carer Needed

Hello, I’m a late-twenties disabled female living and working in London. I'm looking to recruit a new live-in PA to join my team of 2.

The shift would be from 9 pm on Sunday evenings until 7 pm (latest) on Fridays. You will work on a one week off basis. The role will not usually involve any night support so you will have a full night of sleep from 11 pm-7 pm. If night support is required, an additional remittance will be made.

About me:

As mentioned, I’m a disabled female who works full time for a charity (currently at home fulltime). I live with my partner so privacy is incredibly important to me. It can be difficult to maintain a “normal” relationship when someone is always in the house so it’s important my care team understand that. I’m quite laid back but also like to maintain order in my home so tidiness and cleanliness are vital to me. I’m also a very quiet individual so any new joiner will need to understand I’m not in a bad mood if I’m quiet, it’s just naturally who I am.

I like to think I’m a great person to work for. All of my previous PAs have stayed for a minimum of two years and have left for reasons like going to university or going travelling.

About the role:

Assistance with all aspects of personal care, including (but not limited to) toileting, showering and dressing.
Completing transfers with ceiling or mobile hoist.
Cooking on the evening meal.
Light cleaning, laundry and ironing (option to be paid more for deep clean once during the working week)
You will have lots of downtimes: most weekdays you will be free from 9:30am-1:30pm (when I'm in work which is currently not happening) and 6:30pm-9:30pm (a lot of my PAs have done online degrees while with me).
You will have your own room with smart TV and wifi etc.

About you:

You will need to be very reliable, have the ability to follow direction but also be intuitive as to what needs doing.
Be COVID aware and willing to take precautions when not working as I am on the shielding list.
You must be willing to be flexible to cover holiday, illness etc.
You don’t need to have care experience as training will be provided.
Ability to keep yourself occupied to maintain my privacy.
I’m not a girly-girl but I do enjoy having nice hair for work etc and having my nails painted so it’s a bonus (but not essential) if you enjoy this type of stuff.

The weekly salary will be £650 (for the five days worked). You must be willing to be PAYE. Holiday and pension provided.
