Warehouse & Logistics Technician

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Full time with standard working hours of 0900 – 1700. Flexibility required at times.
Managing materials and equipment, including

specialised access equipment (ActSafe Ascenders),
inspecting PPE,
calibrating tools,
PAT testing of power tools


Working with an online based inventory software, including tool/equipment registering based on company policy.
Waste management (chemical/general/recyclable)
COSHH (Control of Substances that are Hazardous to Health)
Vehicle management, including loading and offloading service vans
Kit preparation and packing
Shipment preparation
General and special cleaning duties in the warehouse/training areas.
Other general warehouse duties (goods in, goods out, stock control, stock take, etc.).

Requirements:

Candidates must live in the local area.
Candidates must be willing to come into the Warehouse on weekends in case of operational emergencies.
Candidates must hold a valid and clean driving license.
Forklift license not essential but preferred.
Candidates must be willing to undergo equipment inspection training.
Candidates must be a positive person who looks for solutions to problems.
Candidates will need to be organised and able to adapt.

Skills and Qualifications:

Excellent organisational skills and highly efficient.
Very good eye for detail.
Ability to work & task manage under constant pressure.
Good people skills, a team player but also able to work on their own initiative.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Computer literate – good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Mail/ Drive/ Sheets etc.
Preferred Experience in using Dropbox, Capsule and knowledge of Warehouse Management programs (NFC, RFID, Barcode) and ISO 9001quality management.
Knowledge of operating in a Warehouse preferred.
Knowledge of rope gear equipment advantageous.
