Support Worker

Job Title: Support Worker.

Salary: £11.00 per hour + Regular Sleep-ins at £40 per week.

Hours per week: 24 hours a week – negotiable, Shift Work.

Summary:

The Outlook Foundation is a charity specialising in training and supporting adults with learning disabilities, to be as independent as possible and take their place in the community. We are currently looking to recruit a Support Worker, to work at our Hove based (Jean Marshall House) Supported Living, for up to 8 tenants of varying abilities, including autism.

Offer our tenants person-centred support in doing the things they enjoy and in making choices and decisions.


Devise and support tenants to learn life skills and in having their voices heard.


Encourage and inspire them to try new things, to grow and develop to their full potential.


Support both our tenants and the staff team in promoting our core value of 'achieving potential'.


Have an understanding of the challenges that people with learning disabilities face.

Experience is essential, and transferable skills and a willingness to learn and develop is important.
