We are seeking a Recruitment Business Partner to lead the in-house volume team who are responsible for the recruitment of large numbers of Warehouse Operatives, Drivers and Hygiene Assistants across Next Distribution. We are looking for a proactive, consultative individual to provide a comprehensive recruitment service to key stakeholders in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

The Recruitment Business Partner is responsible for planning and coordinating the recruitment campaigns for Operatives and Drivers at all Next's warehouses and Regional Service Centres throughout the UK across multiple shift patterns. You will be capable of delivering the full end-to-end recruitment cycle, leading up to 15 individual volume recruitment campaigns at any one time, recruiting in excess of 5000 people each year.

Reporting into the Recruitment Manager, you will operate as part of the management team to develop and drive the recruitment strategy, supporting Next's ambition to be an employer of choice.

The Volume Recruitment Business Partner manages a team of Recruitment Resources and Recruitment Advisors who carry out advertising campaigns and telephone screening of candidates, prior to booking them in for onsite interview and assessment. In line with ever-changing, fast-moving Operational requirements and taking into account sale and peak period planning, you will allocate your team to the relevant campaigns. You will work closely with the on-site Assessment Centre team to ensure that appropriate volumes of candidates are booked to attend onsite interviews in order to deliver the required new starter volumes on time.

Working with the Recruitment Manager, you will review the attraction strategy, recruitment process and onboarding, using your knowledge and experience to identify any improvements. You will design social media campaigns to maximise attraction in line with the Operational plan and carry out regular business reviews with key stakeholders

As Recruitment Business Partner for the Volume Team, you will be responsible for coaching and developing your team, motivating them to deliver exceptional service to Next Distribution candidates.

Essential Skills

We are looking for a candidate who has experience in a high-volume recruitment role, gained either in-house or with a recruitment agency. The successful candidate will be someone who can demonstrate experience of running volume recruitment campaigns with short lead times. You will demonstrate creative advert writing skills and be able to design social media content to attract candidates. You should be constantly seeking new ideas for engaging with candidates and developing innovative ways to reach new talent pools.

Experience of managing a team is essential and you must have a proven ability to build relationships at senior level, demonstrating strong presentation and influencing skills.

Desirable Skills

Experience of planning and delivering assessment centres is desirable.

You must be organised and have the ability to plan your own workload and that of your team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must as you will be dealing with large numbers of candidates and people at all levels across the Next business.
