Quality Engineer

ONYX InSight is a growing technology and engineering organisation in the renewable energy sector. Our advanced sensing, software and machine learning products are deployed on wind turbines around the world. Headquartered in the UK, we have offices in the US, Australia, India and Korea. 

We are now seeking a talented Quality Engineer to ensure that our hardware products are delivered globally and to the highest levels of quality and performance. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail orientated and process-driven established engineer who has a thirst for knowledge and an aptitude for technology. Experience in Quality Assurance with strong practical engineering skills in electronic, electrical mechanical engineering or a similar discipline is the key to success in this role.

Key responsibilities;

Work closely with the Advanced Sensing team to develop a deep understanding of Onyx Insight's ecoCMS product. Communicate with third party suppliers; create hardware orders and manage lead times. Track details of hardware globally by using serial numbers, quality data & test reports. Collaborate & support the wider team to establish and align processes to ensure all audit requirements are met with customers and suppliers. Maintain and update compliance documentation for regulatory bodies such as CE and FCC. Specify detailed test plans with support from Engineers, including EMC, shock and vibration, electrical safety & environmental testing. Ensure that Onyx Insight remains compliant when moving into new territories. Run quality processes & testing to maintain high-quality standards for all hardware. Essential Skills

Strong practical Engineering background with proven technical experience in electronics, electrics, mechanical engineering or a similar discipline.Knowledge of engineering standards and certification requirements. Have a methodical approach to solving complex problems, a completer finisher. The outstanding initiative, with the resourcefulness to develop & deliver new processes.A collaborative approach, able to communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders.A quick learner with the ability to acquire a deep understanding of our products.Desirable Skills

Experience in a hardware production and/or quality processes would be beneficial. About the Company
