AWESOME OFFSHORE / SUPER SHIPPING SOLICITOR
This named and respected law firm is currently looking for experienced and talented Marine / Shipping / Offshore solicitor (3/4PQE+) to join a fast expanding team based in the London office.
TEAM
This TEAM advises oil & gas companies & specialist contractors on a range of offshore procurement and offshore oil & gas field development issues as well as disputes arising out of the location, production, transportation and sale of oil and gas, including liquefied natural gas (LNG).
The TEAM also provides advice on the construction and operation of FPSOs and FSOs, being involved in some of the largest offshore vessel construction projects undertaken. The depth of the TEAM's experience in conventional shipbuilding & ship conversion complements understanding of legal issues arising in relation to complex offshore production equipment.
The TEAM also has extensive experience of contracts for the provision of drilling & other oilfield services. They review & evaluate invitations to tender for drilling services & prepare appropriate exceptions & qualifications for clients as part of the bid.
The TEAM negotiates drilling contracts, & where the contractor has the opportunity to present terms, prepare suitable agreements.
The TEAM advises on joint venture & agency arrangements between drilling contractors & their counterparts in local jurisdictions, & on a wide range of joint venture/management agreements.
YOU
To be successful YOU:-
*Will be a UK qualified solicitor with at least 3/4PQE+;
*Will have experience in matters involving construction & operation of offshore drilling units, LNG carriers and FPSOs at a recognised City practice, Team, Regional or international law firm.
*Some experience of litigation/arbitration is desirable but not essential.
*Will have a strong commercial sense and the ability and desire to contribute to business development and marketing strategies.
*Will have experience of managing and mentoring junior members of staff.
