Personal Assistant (Support Worker) for Active Young Man with Autism

We are looking for an enthusiastic personal assistant (also known as Support Workers) to join our weekend staff team supporting young autistic men who live independently in Radstock. The young people will need your support to access a varied range of activities, including swimming, trampolining and climbing, or relaxing with leisure activities such as long country walks, bowling, visits the cinema and theatre (lockdown restrictions permitting).

You will need to have a caring and positive nature, be supportive, calm and tolerant as the person you are supporting is on the autistic spectrum therefore empathy and understanding are essential. Previous experience is not necessary as we will give you all the training you will need.

Each client has their own Motability vehicle: you must be able to drive for this role and hold a clean driving licence.

We are looking for someone to work every other weekend on a permanent basis:

Saturday night sleep-in 10pm-7am (@ £8 per hour) and Sunday 7am-4pm (@ £9.25 per hour).
