About the family: The parents are separated, and this role will take place within the mother's household where it is her and her son at home. She is looking for a Junior Sennie who has some SEN experience and an interest to develop more knowledge in this space. We are looking for someone flexible, organized and reliable, who can best support both mother and son.

This role requires a team player as you will be working closely with mum who will help to train and upskill you in the areas of development relevant to B9.

This is a vegetarian household. The family welcomes a Sennie that is not vegetarian however, no meat or fish is to be brought into the household so a vegetarian would be preferred.

About B9: B9 is an active, affectionate and outgoing boy who thrives when tasked with any creative or physical task. He has been diagnosed as Autistic and is demonstrating some traits relating to ADHD and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. A Sennie who is empathetic and confident in looking after him independently is desired.

B9 currently has ABA therapy on weekdays for two hours in the early evening at home. In the first few weeks, the selected Sennie should have a willingness to train with B9’s therapists to learn strategies to run everyday routines and activities with ease.

B9’s favorite activities and things to do involve painting, cooking, water play, trampolining and swimming. His key areas for development are trying to help him develop self-care skills and communicate more functionally as currently when frustrated he does not always communicate his feelings.

About the role: Training will be provided by the Mother. SENNIES will also provide some training sessions with our Specialist SEN trainer and virtual support with a 2 hour response time for your first month of employment, to ensure you can hit the ground running in your new role!

This is a role offering plenty of free time during the day. In alternate weeks, the Sennie would be free from 7 pm Friday to 3 pm Monday. The selected Sennie will be required to support with light housework.
