Kitchen Porter for new pub kitchen in Bethnal Green.

£11 per hour, full and part-time positions available.

We’re looking for a kitchen porter to join our team for a new kitchen opening at our independent pub in Bethnal Green. We are due to open mid to late January.

The job will entail mainly washing up and cleaning duties, with some occasional basic prep tasks. There is also space to learn more about the food preparation and service side of things if you are interested.

We have hired a talented head chef, and now we are looking to fill the rest of the starting team. The menu brief is for pubby British classic dishes and snacks, using high quality ingredients and a bit of pizzazz. Sundays will be for roasting- rare breed meat, crispy roast potatoes, a banging vegan option, and carefully executed trimmings.

We are building a team of 5-6 to run the kitchen, with the Head chef, a Sous Chef, a CDP and one Commis chef, and a couple of kitchen porters. Service hours initially would be 5-10pm Monday – Thursday and midday to 10pm Friday – Sunday, with a view to opening earlier during the week once established.
