Housekeeper / Dog Sitter

Meticulous and thorough at cleaning and maintaining a private residence to make sure that it meets any housekeeping sanitation requirements and provides a comfortable living space, as well as responsibility for a dog during the day. 

The role advertised would be ideal for an individual who is an animal lover, or someone who cannot commit to having a pet on a full-time basis but love animals (especially dogs!). 

Applicants must enjoy walking and be able to walk up to three miles at a time and be prepared to walk in all weathers. 

Housekeeper Responsibilities:

Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures

Cleaning and sanitising toilets, showers/bathtubs, countertops, and sinks

Maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen area

Making beds and changing linens

Vacuum, sweep and mop floors

Sweeping/vacuuming, polishing, and mopping hard floors

Sorting, washing, loading, and unloading laundry

Ironing clothing items

Using any cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, and other cleaning tools

Keeping bathrooms stocked with clean linens, toiletries, and other supplies

Monitoring cleaning supplies and ordering more as needed

Cleaning mirrors and other glass surfaces

Emptying trash receptacles and disposing of waste

Tidying up rooms

Reporting any necessary repairs or replacements



Dog sitter Responsibilities:

Walk dog outdoors in all weather conditions

Ensure the dog is getting plenty of exercise and toilet breaks

Ensure the safety of the dog you are walking and anyone else around them

Remove pet waste

Give fresh water, wipe paws and towel wet dog down

Communicate with the owner any required information or updates.
