Ensuring the security and safety of premises and people at a large busy Hospital.
Working in a small security operations team, you will carry out a range of duties including:
• Patrolling the buildings to deter and detect problems.
• Attending and managing emergencies, including fire evacuation, conflict management and physical intervention.
• Working closely with client representatives, customers and colleagues to resolve queries.
• Managing access control - for employees, visitors, patients and contractors.
• Identifying and reporting Health & Safety issues and carrying out first aid if necessary.
• Maintaining records including incident reports and daily occurrence logs using computer based systems.
• Investigating and writing detailed reports on incidents, liaising with police and other third parties as necessary.
This role is to cover 12 hours shifts, 24/7, either starting at 0700hrs or 1900hrs. the pattern is 4 on, 4 off. There is potential for additional overtime. We also have an external Clinic that requires 8 hour split shifts, Monday - Friday. You will be trained for this role but rarely called upon to work there.
An SIA Door Supervision (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) license is essential, and to succeed in this role you will also need:
• Excellent customer service, communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in security.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
• 5 year checkable background
• Document to prove eligibility to work within the UK if applicable
• Excellent command of English – both oral and written
• SIA license Door Supervisor or Close Protection
• SIA CCTV Licence Is not essential but useful.
Full training, uniform and health and safety equipment are provided.
