Home-Start Development Manager (part-time)

Hours: 15 hours per week (can be worked flexibly, to fit around caring responsibilities)

Salary:

7.5 hours per week: NJC pay scale point 12: £22,183 per annum, pro rata (£11.50 per hour)

7.5 hours per week: National Living Wage rate, currently £8.91 per hour. A 5% bonus is paid, based on new income over £3475 generated by the post-holder, in each calendar year.

Contract type: Temporary for one year (Maternity Cover)

Location: Mainly home-based, following induction period

About us: We are a charity supporting families with young children through home-visiting and group work. Our trained volunteers provide regular practical and emotional support to families who are experiencing stressful or crisis situations, or need some help to give their children the best possible start in life. We have been running for 32 years.

We are looking for someone with plenty of initiative to help us continue this important work, by securing the grants and donations on which we depend.

Our ideal candidate will have:

experience of raising money for charitable purposes
excellent communication and networking skills

and will be:

confident in the use of social media
experienced and confident in using IT systems and databases
able to produce documents and publicity to a high standard
able to independently research sources of local and national funding
self-motivated, and enjoy motivating others
able to write with passion about Home-Start’s work!

We offer 8 paid Public Holidays and 24 days paid leave per annum, pro rata, on-going training, and free on-site car parking.
