£9.50 - £10.25 per hour.

Our client is a longstanding designer and manufacturer of glass roof lights. They are currently looking to recruit a Glass Quality Controller to join their tight-knit team.

You will be directly responsible to QC inspection and QSHE Manager

Responsibilities:

*To be responsible for the quality control inspection of all glass received into the business, implementing all relevant quality standards. Storage, preparation for issue and inventory of glass.

*Preparing rejected glass and glass stillages for collection by manufacturers.

*Maintain records of all glass quality inspections undertaken and ensure traceability of products.

*Liaison with Purchasing department regarding deliveries, product non-conformances and stillage returns.

*Store products and components in such way as not to lead to damage, defects or a safety hazard

*Make recommendations for improvement to inspection processes

*Carry out any other reasonable requests as and when required

Skills required

*Ability to organise own work to achieve critical deadlines

*Able to read technical drawings and use technical measuring equipment

*Critical eye for detail

*Computer literate (Excel spreadsheets)

Essential:

*Forklift Truck licence (counterbalance)

Desirable:

*Previous glass handling experience

*Experience in operating overhead rail gantry crane
