The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be an experienced motivated individual who is looking to manage their own landscaping projects going forward. They will also be honest, self-motivated, reliable, and have a friendly yet professional approach with clients.

You will be adaptable and agile, executing all tasks to the highest standards. You will have a history of finding solutions to challenges and be unwilling to have your work associated with poor workmanship or unprincipled practices.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for handling and meeting all requirements that a client needs to create their ideal outside spaces. You should be effective in your ability to work with clients and multitask.

Experience

Providing quotes for clients
Planning/ Scheduling Work
Working with clients and colleagues at all levels
Paving, cutting stone and applying
Fencing
Turfing
Decking
Monoblock
Artificial Grass
Reading designs
Block and Brickwork
Rendering
Irrigation

Desired Skills / Experience

Excellent horticultural and plant identification skills
A broad range of landscaping experience
Team player promotes a positive working environment
Excellent planning and organisational skills
Passionate about landscaping, positive and self-motivated, with a can-do attitude
Drawing interpretation skills
Capable of working under pressure with the ability to meet deadlines
Machinery tickets would be an advantage
Excellent attention to detail ensuring works are carried out to the highest standard first time

• You must have hands-on experience of carrying out hard landscaping either as an employee or from running your own business as a landscape gardener.

• Creativity - you build memorable and unique landscapes.

• Accountability - you are honest, open and don’t spread the blame around.

• Proud - you do not like to compromise on quality or creativity.

• Problem-solving skills - you are adaptable and can make a judgement call on whether to deal with something yourself or ask for help.

• Organisational skills - you will be running complex jobs and need to keep a lot of plates spinning.

• Experience in leading/training others - you will oversee a small team of workers on site.
