Driver & Maintenance Operative.

Our client are one of the UK's leading valve manufacturers of high-quality isolation valves and actuation packages for the Oil & Gas, Naval Marine, Fine Gas & Chemical markets.

We are looking for a conscientious Driver and Maintenance Operative to join our business support team. You must be prepared to roll your sleeves up and muck in, this is very much a hands-on full time position.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

Driving:

Ensure collections and deliveries are completed in the safest and most efficient ways.
General condition of company vehicles to be maintained and regular checks on roadworthiness performed.

Maintenance:

Carry out maintenance requirements for the business eg changing light bulbs, painting, simple DIY tasks.
Enhance and improve upon existing techniques/continuous improvements.
Manual handling tasks eg moving furniture, stock.
Any other duties reasonably requested and deemed to be within your skills and experience.

Our ideal candidate will be

Mechanically minded with excellent dexterity skills.
Possess a full clean driving license for manual vehicle.
Have general maintenance knowledge and skills.
Be able to demonstrate good problem-solving skills.
Health and Safety awareness.
Good housekeeping and workplace organisation understanding and behaviours.
Team player with good communication skills and engaging.
Self-motivated around aspects of the role with a can-do attitude.

Flexibility to embrace change and changing working requirements.



In return we offer:

Holiday entitlement of 25 days running January to December, per annum.
Pension contributions above statutory rates.
39 hour working week with a 1pm finish on Friday.
