Dog Walker / Pet Sitter

The Furry Dogmother is an independent, fully insured, DBS checked dog walking & pet sitting business founded in 2013. We are based in Chelsea, London & also cover the South Kensington area. We pick up dogs on foot and only walk one owner’s dog(s) at a time. We're expanding and looking for experienced dog walkers/pet sitters who live within these areas to join the team to help with walking/pet sitting in the owner's home. Pet sitting usually involves staying overnight in the clients home as well as day sitting.

A genuine love for dogs is a must along with previous experience of looking after them. You would need to be available from Monday to Friday 10am to 3pm on a regular basis for a minimum of 6 months (please do not apply if you cannot commit to this). Weekend work is frequently required so flexibility is essential.

What we are looking for:-

- You must be over 18 years of age and be able to provide proof that you are eligible to work in this country

- A genuine animal lover with previous experience of looking after pets (especially dogs)

- Living in the areas of Chelsea, South Kensington or within walking distance

- Reliable, trustworthy, fit and happy to walk in all weathers

- Able to walk on a regular basis and be flexible regarding hours (majority of our walks take place between 10am and 3pm Monday to Friday)

- Presentable and able to demonstrate good time keeping

- Cheerful with a friendly disposition. A ‘can do’ attitude is a must!

- Good with people as well as animals

- Willing to commit to a minimum of 6 months

- Able to communicate effectively via phone (smart phone or similar is essential), text and email and have good written and spoken English

You must be able to supply 2 checkable references and have an up-to-date DBS check or be willing to obtain one (we can help you apply for this)

The post is on a self-employed, part-time, nil hours contract and would suit people who have plenty of free time and are not looking to fill in whilst looking for a permanent role. Good rates of pay for the right person!
