PLP Construction Ltd is a family-run construction company, established in 1982 and based in Heywood. We specialise in new build and refurbishment projects including new build housing, education projects and commercial projects. Our projects are valued from GBP500,000 to GBP5 million.

We are looking to recruit an Apprentice Setting Out Engineer. Setting Out Engineers use sites plans, technology and precision instruments to pinpoint and mark structural features above and below ground before construction work begins. They use clear markers to indicate where structures are going to be installed, including access roads, foundations, gas, electricity and water facilities, and drainage systems. They ensure that workers on the site adhere to these markers.

Ensure works are carried out to the correct dimensions and levels are located in the correct position check that works on-site has been carried out correctly, to the specification and tolerances provided by the client assist the site team to understand the information provided and work with them to deliver a successful project following qualification will be gained:
BEng Hons Civil Engineering (5 years part-time study at The University of Salford)
The qualifications you will need to have are:
Minimum 5 GCSE's Grade 4 or above (including Maths and English)
2-3 A Levels or BTEC Equivalent (MMD, must include Distinction in maths modules). 104 - 112 points including mathematics at grade C. (Numerate science at grade C). A Pass in the practical element of science A levels must be achieved.
Full clean driving license
The Degree Apprenticeship will last for 5 years. Salary will be competitive. Job offer subject to meeting the degree entry requirements and funding requirements.
