Description

Driver Require is an award-winning specialist Temporary Driver Recruitment Agency based in the Home Counties and the Midlands. We provide all categories of the commercial delivery driver to over 150 clients across our operating region.

We have a number of large regional accounts and we are seeking an accomplished candidate to become a key member of the Driver Require Account Management Team for one of these customers' sites located in Hatfield; you will work out of our Branches in Stevenage and London Colney, and routinely visit our client's Hatfield site.

Our client operates 363 days/year and so does our account management team. We, therefore, have a team of three people who cover 7 days/week. Your role is Tuesday - Saturday full-time, working 08:30 - 17:30 daily, dovetailing with another colleague who works Sunday - Thursday, with both of you backed up for holidays and sickness by the Account Manager,(your Manager).

You will be expected to participate in the On-Call roster on Saturday nights and other weekday nights as mutually agreed with the rest of the team. You will be supported by the Account Manager and the Stevenage Branch.

Salary Package:

* Base salary of GBP20,000 to GBP30,000 depending on experience level

* On Target Bonus of GBP5,000

Benefits:

* 20 days' holiday per year, increasing by 1 day per full calendar year to a maximum of 25 days/year plus Bank Holidays

Reporting to the Account Manager, you will be responsible for:

Driver planning and operations:

Rigorously maintain driver availability on a real-time basis. Manage the driver assessment and intervene where necessary to ensure the optimal outcome.

You will be rostered to plan the client's requirements typically 2-3 days per week and every Saturday. There will be flexibility to swap working days with other team members on a mutually agreed basis.

Ensure accurate and timely recording of all shifts, driver availability, key events and incidents. Provide accurate and timely inputs to the Payroll and Billing process, assisting with resolving queries where needed.

Driver Recruitment:

Assisted by the Central Resourcing team, recruit drivers to meet the client's requirements. Place adverts, respond to applications, vet candidates and, with the help of the Central Resourcing team, register candidates.

Driver Administration and Compliance:

Manage the new driver induction and assessment process. Track driver performance and coordinate training and development. Ensure rigorous driver record management and regulatory compliance. Manage driver infringements and produce waiver letters etc.
