1996 Mazda Bongo 2.5td

Hello and welcome to the sale of our cherished Mazda Bongo (Talulah). We've had a few Bongo's over the years - and this has been by far the best. We bought her in August 2014, but have come to the conclusion, a Bongo is a little bit too small for our needs (a 4yr & 7yr old!!) and will be purchasing a larger van. So the good bits. The Van is the face lifted version (Chrome Grill and Sparkley rear end) on a P Plate in a lovely blue/grey colour scheme. The actual number plate reads. P 90 BON (Looks like. P BONGO). This is worth quite a bit on its own (Have a look on a reg buying site - you'll be surprised) The van has been undersealed and a new front cross member installed. She had a new cam belt fitted in 2014, tow hitch and electrics installed. A new gearbox was installed earlier this year due to slippage - the throttle position sensor was also changed. Regular maintenance has been carried out on Talulah by myself - this includes regular Transmission Flushes, Coolant and Oil Changes. Van comes with a leisure battery and spilt relay to charge phone/power devices through cigarette sockets. She was MOT'd at the end of July (MOT Expires August 2016) and passed with flying colours. It was noted that there was some play in a drop link (A common problem with these beasts) and if the asking price is achieved, I will change this. Current Mileage is 176067km (109403 miles) but will go up slightly. All electrics work perfectly: Blinds/Roof/Mirrors/Air Con/Pioneer CD Player. Interior is in very good condition - no rips or tears. The roof area is also free from Mould/Mildew. Original Carpets are present throughout. In addition to this, a customised Fiamma Bike Rack is included in the sale. Stainless steel brackets have been fabricated to avoid cutting the spoiler. This will carry 2 bikes (4 if more rails are installed). An Easy Camp Daytona awning is also included - in excellent condition (bar a small rip near front door where a pole fell into it, a simple repair with duct tape on the inside - invisible on outside). Its only been used on 4 occasions and attaches to the van with a figure of 8, suction cups or clamps (Only clamps included with the awning). Tyres have plenty of life left in them. The not so good. The Van is 20 years old, so expect some paint chips and scratches (Especially on the front bumper). The decals could be replaced as some are peeling; I simply didn't get around to sorting this. As with all bongos, there are signs of rust/bubbling paint around the rear wheel arches/rear of passenger side sill. This is only surface rust and could be rubbed down, sealed and resprayed in an afternoon. We will be very sorry to let our Bongo go, but a new home and new adventures are what she deserves. The van is realistically priced to sell. We do not wish to take a part exchange. No PayPal. No Time-wasters or Tyre Kickers. Cash on Collection only. Thank You.
